For over sixty years members of the Muriwai Lifeguard Service have patrolled this isolated paradise, preventing injury and loss of life on one of Auckland's most popular beaches.
Situated on a fifty kilometer stretch of Auckland’s rugged west coast, Muriwai is renowned for it’s stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and its sparkling black sand.
