$1m has been allocated to the Muriwai Lifeguard Service Amenities Trust for its new surf club and community centre from the Auckland Council. This allocation will join grants from the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board and the Trusts Community Foundation, and means the Muriwai VLS is very close to beginning construction on its $4.5m clubhouse.
